ABOUT

Production Design sister duo Josie & Madeleine Hunter with over 10 years industry experience working across the spectrum of creative commercials, narrative media & film.

They have been creating their own imaginative words together since they were children, whether that was plays for their parents, fashion shows, surreal films or miniature sets for their toys.

They have been working together professionally for over 12 years on a variety of creative projects, such as large scale murals, theatre backdrops, window displays and film. They share a similar aesthetic, naturally being drawn to a maximalist approach, rich with detail and narrative. They decided to officially join forces and become Hunter Sister Sets in 2023!

MADDY

Maddy trained in theatre studies & set design for her art foundation and BA, before embarking on an MA in Performance design at Central St Martins. Here she specialised in Production design, working in the art department for a horror feature film in Santiago, Chile.

After graduating she took on a number of creative roles from short films, to immersive events & window displays.

Her approach is research and narrative driven, focussing on attention to detail with an expertise in buying, sourcing & creative set dressing.

JOSIE

Josie studied textiles for her BA & art foundation, specialising in embroidery and large scale fabric installations.

She worked for a number of years in fashion and colour trend forecasting, before transitioning to the world of props and sets. This included making bespoke fabric props, scenic and draped backdrops and one off textile commissions.

Josie loves working on set and is a practical and creative problem solver with a critical eye in dressing the composition of a video frame. She loves bringing her background in colour and textiles to the forefront of her work in set design.

With their diverse and complementary skill sets, they can tackle creative briefs of any scale and style to fulfil your brand or projects needs.
